This evening I came across the Latin phrase ceteris paribus and its modern usage and understanding. It is said to be often used in the fields of economics and science but some how I overlooked (or over-read) it till now. It is a very useful phrase in enterprise architecture work – where of-course it often seems like the rule is that nothing remains equal or held constant for long, but nevertheless we must progress proactively.
